We, the undersigned, strongly support the creation of a non-sectarian Universal Shrine to house the body of Paramhansa Yogananda, at a location not controlled by any single religious organization.
People of many religions revere Yogananda, whose non-sectarian teachings inspire inner communion with God regardless of one's faith.
We believe that thousands of people who are not members of Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) would be restricted in the full and free exercise of their religious freedom if SRF is allowed to gain control of Yogananda's body.
